Travis Wilson's Journey

Exploring faith, accessibility, and community through the lens of a progressive Lutheran pastor.

”Life can be messy, but you don’t have to go through it alone. I offer kindness, understanding, and a listening ear to help you find comfort and support. We can all learn and grow together in a safe space.”

- Travis Wilson

Introducing Myself

I’m a devoted pastor with a heart for serving others and sharing the hope found in Christ. I am married and have one daughter.

In 2012, I completed my Masters of Divinity degree at Trinity Lutheran Seminary, following my Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Roanoke College in 2005. These formative educational experiences have equipped me to effectively lead and guide my congregation with wisdom and compassion.

My diverse career journey includes roles as a Pastor for St. James Lutheran Church, a youth director, and a technology and audio-visual assistant. These experiences have honed my leadership skills and communication techniques and deepened my understanding of the diverse needs and challenges of individuals from all walks of life.

Beyond my passion for ministry, I find joy in a range of hobbies and interests. From savoring a soothing cup of tea to expressing my thoughts and emotions through writing, immersing myself in music, exploring new cultures through travel, and finding inspiration in the world of movies, these pursuits enrich my life and deepen my connections with others.

My unwavering faith finds strength in Romans 8:38-39, affirming the limitless love and grace of God that surrounds us. “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

I am dedicated to using my skills and passion to positively impact the lives of those I serve, as well as in the disabilities community. As a legally blind individual, I am committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive community where everyone can find comfort, guidance, and a sense of belonging. Together, we can navigate life’s challenges, celebrate its joys, and deepen our connection with God.
